TOTALLY TAP is the country's first traveling tap workshop intensive for all intermediate and advanced tappers. The ONLY one of it's kind - The most fun, creative and challenging tap dancing lessons around!

Totally Tap has one-day intensives and full weekend workshops, in a growing number of cities across the country - come and join in! If time is an issue for you and you can't quite spare a day or two, you're also welcome to sign up for any number of individual tap classes taking place during the workshops.

A TOTALLY TAP ONE-DAY WORKSHOP INCLUDES:

Six classes, with "styles" in the morning and a "teachers' choice" session later in the day. We have Latin, Swing, World Rhythms, Slides & Tricks, and more! Students will learn not just the steps, but also what makes each particular style unique.

In the afternoon there will be:

• Tap Jam - Learn to create your own steps on the spot!
• Video Presentations of classic dances and dancers
• Awards

After a Totally Tap one-day intensive, students will not only have new skills but a much deeper appreciation of what makes tap so special!

A TOTALLY TAP WEEKEND WORKSHOP INCLUDES:

SATURDAY STYLES:
Each Saturday, every teacher teaches a different "style" of tap! We have Latin, Blues, Swing, Acapella, Contemporary, Euro-Fusion and more! The students will learn not just steps but what makes that particular style unique. They will gain a deeper appreciation of what makes this art form so special! SUNDAY is TEACHER'S CHOICE! Maybe some company work or even a slides class!

TAP JAM WITH LIVE MUSIC:
We have a live trio and we show the students how to behave in an improv circle (the way Tap has been handed down from generation to generation), what to look for, what to listen for, how to speak to the musicians and how to tap into their own creative resources and take their space in the room without feeling timid or shy as they GO FOR IT and improvise on their own!

TAP BATTLE:
Some call this a "cutting contest": Entrants put $20 into the pot and their name in a hat. We pull the names 2 at a time and they battle it out in front of our faculty, who choose a winner! We go all the way down to the "last one standing", and the WINNER TAKES ALL THE $$$ COLLECTED!

HISTORIC STEPS:
The students will learn a famous routine from the movies! Maybe a Nicholas Brothers routine or a Bill Bojangles Robinson dance. Over the 2 days, we watch the dance then get up and learn it from the top! Even get an insight into their minds and what made them so special! NOT TO BE MISSED!

CLASS CARDS:
We have 2 LEVELS for you to choose from: Intermediate and Advanced. Then, we use CLASS CARDS, so you are not stuck in one room. If you try an intermediate class and decide you want to try a more advanced class, no problem! Just finish out the class, and next hour you can jump into the advanced room or vice-versa! We make the weekend stress free and user friendly!

Refund Policy

Cancellations at least 7 days prior to the event receive a full refund.
Cancellations 2-6 days from the event receive a 50% refund.
Less than 2 days' notice (including a no-show) is a NO REFUND policy.
